Colonial Houses in Old TownOld Town

The Old Town is one of the most charming areas of Mazatlan. Its architecture is maintained in a beautiful colonial style and it has a lot of colorful houses and leafy streets that create enjoyable strolling and sightseeing possibilities. In the heart of the Old Town there is Plazuela Machado and Angela Peralta Theatre, which provide plenty of entertainment for the local community and North American winter residents all year round. Historic town real estate is very different as compared with other parts of Mazatlan. There are plenty of casitas (Spanish word for “small houses”) and traditional Mexican haciendas for sale in the Old Town, so if you feel that living in a Mexican style house fancies you, Mazatlan historic district is the place to be. There are still a lot of old houses that need major refurbishment available and those start in mid US$50’s, however, you can also find casitas in a fairly good shape starting in low US$100’s. The Old Town has also several condominium complexes, whose prices start in mid US$150’s.
