Hands Across the Border

An association of local snowbirds, who aim to bring help to the needy people living in Mazatlan. Their meetings are held on the second Friday of every month in Hotel Playa Mazatlan at 9am

 

Giving supplies to a local primary schoolFriends of Mexico

Friends of Mexico gathers part- and full-time international residents and it extends a range of services to its members. The services include useful information about living in Mazatlan, gatherings for socializing, hobby classes, fund raising events, blood bank drives as well as an array of member benefits such as discounted medical services. Friends of Mexico meet on second Tuesday of every month in Los Zarapes Restaurant on Av. Camaron Sabalo (across from El Quijote Hotel) at 9am. Rotary Club

There are three Rotary Clubs in Mazatlan. The North Club has meetings every Tue at 8.30pm in the El Cid clubhouse, Center Rotary Club meets every Tuesday night at 8pm in the Agua Marina Hotel and the West Rotary Club meets every Thursday at 8.30pm at the Agua Marina Hotel.


MazInfo

It is an online forum that is an interface for people living or interested in living in Mazatlan. You can post a question about Mazatlan and you can be sure to get advice and recommendations from experienced snowbirds, who will help you settle down and get established in Mazatlan. Lions Club

The Lions Club does charitable work and administers many support programs for children and poor people, including arranging eye exams and distributing several thousand pairs of eye glasses each year and working with diabetics.

MeXscape is a vibrant online community forum where residents and tourists ask questions and exchange information. The website also offers helpful links to valuable resources, photos, articles, and recipes using the fresh, local ingredients.


The American Legion

The American Legion is an association of veterans of American military service who work together to help the poor children in Mazatlan improve their education by offering scholarships and providing support for poor schools.


Card Playing Groups

There are several card clubs in Mazatlan. There is a poker group that meets on Thursdays and Saturdays at Canucks restaurant. There are also several bridge and canasta clubs in both the Golden Zone and Centro Historico.


What's Up Maz

What's Up Maz is a community website that offers online classifieds, monthly articles about Mazatlan history, recipes, and an online forum.
